Novak Djokovic will end the tennis season as world number one and the Serbian is a best price 8/11 with Bet365 to win the 2014 ATP World Tour Finals.
Djokovic plays on Monday against Marin Cilic before facing Stan Wawrinka and Tomas Berdych for what looks to be a winnable group, with the 27-year-old confident of ending 2014 on a high.
The world number one has had a momentous year after having his first child recently, while victory at Wimbledon means that he’s looking to land a second significant triumph in London this term and Roger Federer has been giving him fatherly advice!
He said: “He was one of the first players who congratulated me. Of course he can identify with what I’m going through.
“I’m still far off from him. With four kids it’s pretty amazing to still play at such a high level as he does. I understand what an effort it is with one. “We talked in China and in Paris about travelling and so forth. I took some advice from him and hopefully I can organise my life as well as he does. “It’s too early for the baby to travel. Starting next year we’re going to think about it and see what’s best for the baby, that’s priority number one. Of course I as a father want to participate in his life and hopefully I can do that.”
Djokovic has never lost to Cilic although he did need five sets to beat this opponents at Wimbledon, with the Serb hoping to end the year on a high.
Federer is a 3/1 chance to win the ATP World Tour Finals having beaten Milos Raonic in his opening match, while Andy Murray is now struggling to qualify for the last four of the competition after losing to Kei Nishikori.
The Japanese player is now a 7/1 shot to win in London and is certainly playing the best tennis of his career having recently reached the final of the US Open before losing to Cilic.
