We all know what happened against Swansea and it appears the episode unsettled some of the players and left a nasty taste in their mouth.
- John Terry lost his way
Terry has had a gigantic presence in the Chelsea dressing room for a decade and beyond. Mourinho’s pursuit of John Stones last summer might have unhinged the Blues captain who has had a poor season to date, especially those opening games.
- Blues were over-reliant on Eden Hazard
Hazard won all the awards last season and the Belgian was the difference in several matches during 2014/15. However, the midfielder has struggled to find form this season and he’s starting to make Mourinho look silly for comparing the player to Ronaldo and Messi last summer.

Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic seem particularly unhappy at Chelsea this season, with the latter flitting in and out of the team despite being an outstanding performer last term.
- They’re just a team of inflated egos
Who rested on their laurels over the summer. Diego Costa admitted that he came back overweight and it appears that the team lack the hunger that made them into winners last season.
